Health Awareness Classes at Rukumkot-6, Chhipridaha East Rukum

Introduction

School can be dynamic setting for promoting health, for enabling children to grow and mature into healthy adults. Government school health has largely remained confined to some hours of health instruction in the curriculum than private school which motivate BHAROSA Organization to step towards Shree Tribhuwan Secondary School Rukumkot-6, Chhipridaha Rukum for a health awareness program on November 13, 2019.

2 female members along with distribution resources went to Chhipridaha Rukum for performing awareness classes. The route was not so easy. We travel via local bus with exchange of 4 different local buses while going and returning. The trip took around 1 day to reach Chhipridaha Rukum from Capital City, Kathmandu. In Rukumkot, Rukum, Oral Health and Menstrual Health awareness classes were conducted. We walked for approx. 1 hour to reach the school along with carrying the distribution materials. The awareness classes also envisage distribution of stationery and oral items to primary level students and note book, stationary items and sanitary pad to adolescent. We succeeded in educating approximately 130 children and 50 adolescence.
