Series of Health Awareness Classes at Shree Champadevi Secondary School,

Introduction

With an intention of enhancing the educational performance of the students, BHAROSA | For Better Health take a step at Shree Champadevi Secondary School, Bupak, Khotang District to conduct a health awareness classes. With the objective of developing physical, mental, emotional and educational status of school children, we conducted Oral Hygiene, Women Health and Menstrual Hygiene, and Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health classes. It was two days class delivered by health professional and social worker. It was total 12:00 pm to 5:00  pm and plus  additional 20 mins discussion class. The class was held on  Sunday from Feb 03, 2019 to Feb 5, 2019. We succeeded in educating approximately 140 children and 238 adolescent.

4 female members along with distribution resources went to Bupak, Khotang for performing awareness classes. The route was not so easy. We hired a jeep because it is hard for normal local bus to reach the destination. The trip took around 1 day to reach Bupak, Khotang from Capital City, Kathmandu. We walked for approx. 3 hours to reach the school from hotel along with carrying the distribution materials. The school conducted a welcome ceremony for BHAROSA representatives and welcome speech by all the guests.

Notebook, Tooth Brush and Paste, Sanitary Pads, Instrument Box, Pens, Pencils, Eraser, Sharpeners, Ruler, and Balloons.
