Environment Cleanliness and Awareness Campaign
Introduction
The cleanliness awareness program was held centrally in Kupondole 10, Lalitpur on 18th January 2020. All presented participation were almost 70 people. The slogan of the campaign was ‘Environment Cleanliness and Awareness Campaign’. The program started at 8 am and closed at 11 am. The main objective of the campaign was to make acknowledge the inseparable bond between health and environment. As, human depend on the environment for their survival. Nature or the environment provides all resources required for mankind. Therefore, the environment should be kept clean and healthy. The health effects of air pollution are serious – one third of deaths from stroke, lung cancer and heart disease are due to air pollution. Air pollution is hard to escape, no matter how rich an area you live in. It is all around us. The essence of the cleaning campaign was to provide individuals, communities and organizations a unified platform to clean up streets, rivers and public spaces to improve their immediate environment through positive action and increased awareness.
Activities
- Mask, gloves, hand sanitizers, and cleanliness tools are distributed
- Raise awareness about health and hygiene among the people
- Uses of microphone to coverage huge number of people to promote cleanliness program
- The collected garbage was handover to Lalitpur Sub Metropolitan Solid Waste Management
- Breakfast for participants
Our Team
Bharosa was accomplished to conduct Environmental Cleanliness & Awareness Program at ward no 10, Kupondole, Lalitpur with the help of different association, Mr, Ek Narayan Sir, secretary of Kupondole Metropolitan City Ward Office 10, Officials’ of Police and Traffic Department of Ward Office 10 and Pragati Shiksha Sadan School, Mr. Babu Ram Sir, President and Mr. Bidur Raj Sir, Vice President from Bagmati Sarsafai Upabhokta Samanbayan Smiti, Mrs Kamala Bista, Vice President of Women Environment Group (WEG), Local Communities and others.
